It's me, hi...
I'm Jenny - the founder of Well. I have found throughout my personal and professional life that people often think of therapy as a last resort for those dealing with serious mental health issues or major life challenges. However, the idea that therapy is only for people in crisis is a common misconception. Seeking mental health support can benefit individuals who are doing well but want to boost their emotional and psychological well-being, to go from simply surviving day-to-day to thriving.
My passion lies in helping people to get the most out of life. My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and a commitment to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore challenges and uncover your inner strengths.
A bit
about me
From a young age, I have been fascinated by human behavior and mental processes, driven by a desire to better understand myself and others. My journey into psychology and therapy began while living in Italy as an au pair, where I provided daily care along with occupational and speech therapies. This profound experience inspired me to pursue a BSc in Psychology while working as a Learning Support Teacher and later as a Special Needs Coordinator in Dubai and London.
After completing my degree, I delved deeper into behavioural psychology, becoming a Registered Behaviour Technician. Returning to the UK, I worked as a Behaviour Practitioner, supporting neurodivergent adults during mental health crises and delivering mental health and safety training to care staff. Collaborating with NHS mental health teams, I witnessed firsthand the urgent need for enhanced mental health support for neurodivergent individuals and the significant gap in support for NHS and care professionals.
Recognizing the widespread demand for mental health support, I pursued training in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I often hear statements like, “I don't need therapy; there's nothing wrong with me. I'm just feeling a bit off recently.” This classic British mentality of “just suck it up and get over it” can act as a barrier, preventing many from living their best lives.
This realisation led me to become a Mental Health Coach, where I support others in learning, changing, and growing for their mental, emotional, and cognitive well-being. Additionally, as a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist, I blend conscious and subconscious exploration in my coaching and workshops. Hypnosis is a powerful tool for managing stress and anxiety and facilitating behavioral changes. Personally, hypnosis has been life-altering for me, helping manage anxiety, improve sleep, and increase mental clarity. It also introduced me to mindfulness and the practice of being present.
